Parking and Access

Courthouse Access

There are two public entrances to the Cuyahoga County Courthouse. The main courthouse entrance is located on West Lakeside Avenue. Visitors may also enter the courthouse from Level 2 of the Huntington Parking Garage.

Security Screening

All visitors (including attorneys and litigants) must enter through a security screening area prior to gaining admission to the building. Firearms are prohibited in the courthouse, regardless of whether an individual has a concealed carry permit. Weapons and other items that may be considered a weapon are also prohibited including but not limited to pocketknives, knitting needles, letter openers, box cutters, and mace.

Parking

There are a number of public parking garages and surface lots within a few blocks of the courthouse. Please visit Parking + Transit — Downtown Cleveland for parking options.

Huntington Parking Garage (behind the Old Courthouse): Entrances to this garage are located on West Lakeside Avenue and West 3rd Street. Public parking is limited at the Huntington Parking Garage, so please allow extra time and arrive early if you plan on using this garage. The Huntington Parking Garage opens to the public at 8:00am. Warehouse District Parking-The Pit is available just north of Lakeside Avenue, off of West 3rd Street and Summit. The Pit entrance is under the Cleveland Memorial Shoreway.
