Proposed Amendment Local Rule 27 and Proposed Rule 27.1 and Request for Comments

08/1/2024 - The Domestic Relations Division of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas is requesting comments regarding proposed amended Local Rule 27 (Objections to Magistrate's Decisions) and proposed Local Rule 27.1 (Motions to Set Aside Magistrate's Order).

The Domestic Relations Division of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas is requesting comments regarding proposed amended Local Rule 27 (Objections to Magistrate's Decisions) and proposed Local Rule 27.1 (Motions to Set Aside Magistrate's Order).

The proposed rule simplifies the existing rule and clarifies the procedure and requirements for filing objections to magistrate’s decisions and requesting transcripts and extensions of time. A separate rule clarifies the requirements for setting aside a magistrate’s order.
